GEAPP Sustainable Livelihood Literature Review

Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) is dedicated to creating and improving livelihoods during the energy transition. Supporting the productive use of energy (PUE), GEAPP invests in regions where energy access significantly boosts productivity, thereby impacting jobs and livelihoods. To harmonise metrics for evaluating these impacts, GEAPP commissioned a comprehensive review of sustainable livelihoods.

Conducted extensive reviews of public literature on livelihood frameworks, focusing explicitly on integration with gender and climate perspectives. This two-phased analysis first mapped existing programmes and subsequently provided targeted recommendations for refining GEAPP’s own livelihood framework, significantly enhancing the organization's strategic approach and effectiveness.
