About the Client
Climate Fund Managers (CFM) is a for-profit investment management company working in regions most affected by climate change. CFM provides financial solutions for infrastructure development to both mitigate climate risks and build resilience against the climate crisis.

My Role & Task
As part of CFM’s efforts to strengthen the gender dimension of its work, I conducted a comprehensive gender analysis to inform the organisation’s broader Gender Assessment and support its application to the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

• Reviewed international policies and frameworks at the intersection of gender, WASH, and climate.

• Worked across multiple languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, English) to analyse diverse sources and ensure global applicability.

• Identified key gaps and opportunities in gender integration to position CFM for stronger proposals and more inclusive programming.

Impact

• Provided evidence and insights that fed directly into CFM’s GCF application.

• Strengthened CFM’s understanding of gender gaps in climate and WASH sectors, helping to better align future projects with global standards on gender inclusion.

• Enhanced the organisation’s capacity to design gender-responsive climate finance initiatives.
