Laudes DE 3.0
About the Client
The Laudes Foundation works to influence capital and industry to harness their power for good. As part of the Convive Collective ecosystem, Laudes invests in initiatives that drive systemic change for climate and equity. Their Developmental Evaluation (DE) initiative is designed to strengthen strategic direction, deepen systemic impact, and embed learning into decision-making.
My Role & Task
I contributed to Developmental Evaluation 3.0, with a focus on evidence generation, sensemaking, and strategic learning. My role combined rigorous evaluation methods with innovative digital tools to strengthen insights and usability.
Outcome Harvesting: Led a new round of outcome harvesting for programme teams, refining outcomes with Excel and ChatGPT-supported analysis.
Deep Dive Interviews: Designed templates, prepared guiding materials, and conducted in-depth interviews with stakeholders and partners, producing “top stories” that captured systemic outcomes.
Sensemaking & Co-Presentation: Co-facilitated sessions with Laudes teams, presenting both findings and “unknowns,” and working iteratively with programme leads to finalise actionable outputs.
OER Review: Analysed organisational effectiveness documents in Dedoose and triangulated evidence with harvested outcomes to enhance reliability.
Rubric Analysis: Collaborated with colleagues to review B-Rubric data and context monitoring, contributing to a refreshed rubric for assessing systemic change.
Impact
This process provided Laudes with:
Evidence-based narratives of their systemic contributions.
Stronger alignment between programme outcomes and strategic priorities.
Practical learning products to inform adaptive strategy and decision-making.
Methodological innovation, embedding digital tools (Excel, Dedoose, ChatGPT) into evaluation workflows to make analysis more robust and accessible.
